LET'S WHINE

First things first, I'm glad to be back..no more long breaks. I have missed you guys..a few of you, not all of you. Those who e-mailed to check on me and ask 1, 2 or 3 things, very much appreciated. those who didn't, you will not make heaven. Tufiakwa.

I kid.

Disclaimer: The post herein might not make a lot of sense since my thoughts on this particular topic are a tad(actually, totally) disjointed.

My coats have moved a size up. I cant quite explain this because all my clothes seem to fit just fine(then again, alot of those clothes are in spandex) although I must comment that my thighs have been doing the 'hi5' occasionally and if my derriere is anything to go by, ive had that heave behind(pun intended) me as I went up and down the stairs..I really should stick to lifts, eh?

I dread the thought of hitting the gym or the occasional morning run. The thought of exercise makes me cringe.
I tried aerobics(my friend Chung Li dragged me there:p) some time back and it pains me to announce that dancing to 'abba' or some strange 'Asian' gigs with the instructor threateningly calling out numbers(you know how they scream out 'TWO' but manage to make it sound like 'TOE') didn't really appeal to me.
Or perhaps it was the guy in the really TIGHT tights whose image(not his image really but that of his 'round' friends) I cant quite undo that put me off.

Bottom line, gym or no gym, I have the urge to lose 2 and 4 inches off my waist and bum respectively. My waist to bum ratio is weird: im currently 28" on my waist and 42" on my bum..oi!!
The people around me have not really been helpful, occasionally insisting that my curves will get lost in the process(pppffftttt...like I don't watch the 'fat doctor' or don't know my biology!!)  or the 'oh! you look fine'!! Let me be people!! Let me be!

I have never watched what I eat, unless off course I'm watching to make sure they don't serve me less cake at a wedding, and I still don't think I should do that!
Also, I've no specific plan on how to go about toning my thighs and behind though ideas have been floated here and there eg Zumba classes which apparently take place 5-min from my place but are apparently so darn expensive I'll be so thin and broke(and probably homeless) by the time I fulfill my goal:D. Someone even suggested a weight-loss belt???!! I'm not too sure I want to go with those hence this post.

Has anyone tried to lose the grams/ kilos on these areas? How did you do it? Do share:)

Meanwhile, these are photos of versions of me I would like to revert to..
I want that size of thighs back:)

My 26" waist will be reclaimed:D

.

..,however, if this feat cannot be achieved, I will duly succumb and join 'cellulite Sally' and 'Tina the talking tummy' in their shopping section:)
..notice the slight tummy bulge in ths pic I pulled out !!Tufiakwa!!Vanity..but u must go!!

Hahaha. I'm not sure if this post was meant to be funny, but it is!! Although, I'm yet to see a recent picture of you, I don't you look as bad as you describe.

I do applaud you for wanting to get back to your old weight. Losing weight is not only in exercising, it also has to do with what you eat and how much of it.

Check out the link below:

All the best, lady! And...welcome back!! :)

By all means, let's whine...

The first photo of us just reminded me of how I used to look before my hips exploded too. I have been trying to watch what I eat now, but how do you count calories in a chapo? So the app I use to monitor my eating habits ("Lose it") can't tell me exactly how much I consume.

Am with you on the exercise...but yoga is good. I did it once a week for 4 months. Unlike lifting weights and aerobics<--did that once, never again!>, it goes with your pace, and you feel yourself getting stronger and more fit. Do it regularly and you'll be good. I should probably take my advice too and resume. I bet you there are good YouTube videos of yoga (or a pirated P90X yoga dvd at your local cyber cafe ;p)

Good luck to you...try them till you find what works for you!
