MY HUSTLE: CHITERI

Meet Beryl and Sheena Olubandwa- the beautiful brains behind the brand Chiteri. The beauty about this particular hustle is because the sisters are close friends of mine and I can personally attest to the hard work that has seen the brand come from the ground and now well on its way to success not just in Kenya but the international front as well.

The sisters began the label 4 years ago and have slowly grown it from a small jewelry enterprise to include a design outfit dubbed 'Sheena_C' which brings to life designs via fashion illustration.

Their seed capital was from personal savings. They re-invested earnings made from the business to grow it  to what it is now.

The sisters have juggled their busy school schedules studying law(Sheena) and business(Beryl) to make their business work and believe that the sooner you nurture the talent you have, the better. That way, if you take on a wrong path or make mistakes along the way , you have enough time to mend the and eventually perfect your business.

I concur.
